Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Data Marketplace ("we") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Data Marketplace beta data marketplace.
1. Data we collect
We collect the account information you provide (name, email, organization), authentication data from SSO providers you choose to use (Google, GitHub), datasets and metadata you upload, and operational logs needed to run and secure the Service. Logs are structured to avoid recording personally identifiable values.
2. How we use data
We use your data to operate the marketplace, process purchases and subscriptions, detect and prevent abuse, and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Processors
We rely on third-party processors to deliver the Service, including Stripe (payments), our SSO providers (authentication), and error- and analytics-monitoring tools. These processors handle data on our behalf under their own terms.
4. PII in datasets
Uploaded datasets are scanned for personally identifiable information before publishing. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to share any personal data contained in datasets you upload.
5. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR/CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights during beta, contact us at the address below.
6. Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. Beta data may be purged at the end of the beta period.
